The Family History Group meets every third Friday of the month; starting at 10:30am in the morning in the Coach Hall of The Chantry. Numbers have maintained their high levels throughout this year, but we can always cater for more.
We undertake a programme of presentations and live research sessions. These tend to alternate monthly with the research sessions, held in small groups with an experienced researcher, designed to help individual members with their research problems. This year we also took over 52 members to the Who Do You Think You Are - Live exhibition at the NEC, which was a great success.

The presentations, some from external speakers and some by our own members, cover a wide range of subjects and would be of interest to both the beginners and the more experienced researchers. The subjects range from Family History research techniques, to useful websites and the best genealogy databases on which to hold your family history data. The talks often address the social history issues of the times.

All new members are welcome whether beginners or experienced researchers.
